Hi Guys, By the time i am able to sponsor my parents here they will be in their 60s. My question are Permanent Residents eligible to apply for medicare even though they did not pay US taxes before they retire? Thanks for your info guys!!

I believe that medicare is like social security--you must have paid enought taxes to qualify.

Actually they should but before approving your parents for GC the US Government will request an Affidavit of Support which might prevent your parents from getting any benefits at the beginning.
