Hi,

I am in process of filing my 140/485 concurrently. My lawyer suggested me to take medical tests. I tested positive on PPD test. Chest X-ray however was clear. Now my quesions are:

1. Can I expect any RFE on this issue? Any other issues?
2. I talked to my doctor in India. He says that it is OK to have bump of size 15 mm as I had BCG in India. (Mine was 16 mm.) He says I do not need any medication and I am convinced - he has always been correct in diagnosing my problems. I am yet to talk to my doctor in USA. Now, am I supposed to undergo medication or does it depends on my doctor's advice? What else can be done/people have done?

I am not really sure how big is this issue. Any feedback will be appreciated.

---- Only the doctor can give you a good advice but I read in the past that if you tested positive for PPD test doctor may prescribe medians to you

---- I don’t think it will be big issue and maximum they can ask you to submit new medical when they approve I-485.

I was administered BCG and I am also allergic to Protein. PPD is purified protein derivative. So it maybe due to any of these points. My doctor does not feels it is nessecary for me to take any medication unless I insist.
 
I hope you are eating enough sweets and that you were supposed to send me vo bhi khud hi khaa gaye koi baat nahin dost . why the NJ people forget the promise they do??

No problems if doctor says medicine is not required

Another issue:

INS doctor did not suggest me any medication. His front-desk assistant showed me the report and there was no mention of follow-up with any doctor. They also gave me a courtesy copy of the same(I had asked for one.). There is no mention of any medication. From GC's perspective what does it means?

Tumhara address nahin mila - I was waiting for it. Waise I am not eating sweets - I am on diet.
 
mera address to clear likha hai mere WAC number ke saath aur main diet par bhi nahi hoon and 4 saal ho gye mugal ke sweets khaye hue. bus ab calfornia ship karni paregi. :D

Don't worry about this 16mm reaction.

Most of us who come from India were "exposed" to this TB Virus (I guess so) some point in life and that's why we get tested positive. A positive doesn't mean that we carry the active virus.

My primary physician told me not to worry about it.

My story : My reaction was 30mm. :-( I got scared. INS doctor asked me to meet my county TB clinic doctor. I went there, they asked me a few questions and said "You are normal. But if you want you can take a medicine for 6 months and that will erase whatever positive testing you had and it is free". I thought what is the big deal and started medicine.. the only problem was you can't take alchohol when you take the medicine.. so, with many "week-end" breaks for taking medicine, I finally completed after 10 months..

As Indians, you get vaccinated against TB when you are a kid. No wonder, the tests always come back as positive. Mine came back positive too. The doctor asked me to do a chest X-Ray and that confirmed everything ok. He filled up his paperwork and I send it with my 485. I got approved without any medical RFE.
