Medical Examination Vaccines

Dear all,

I have to take my medical examination, so I called to one MD approved by USCIS, and I was told that I have to bring the proof of my vaccines, if not according to my age the exam would cost $400.00. So, I was wondering if I can get from a letter from the hospital of my COP where state that I got the measless, mumps, varicella. I have with me my Hepatitis B vaccine, so not problem. But, bottom line, if I cannot get any proof for the previous vaccines, do I need to get them again?

Thanks a lot

Vaccines

Carlos:
You can ask your pediatrcian to fax your vaccine records from your country or you can have them done at the health department of the State where you live. There is one vaccine that you will HAVE to get because it has a validation of 6 months.

Try looking for a cheaper doctor, it's not worth for you to pay 400 dollars. I made my medical examination in Arlington Virginia with doctor Dosola. It was only $98 dollars plus two vaccines that I got from Fairfax County Health Department for only 7 dollars each. So my total, including vaccines was $105 dollars.

Now, I'm a happy Green Card holder!!!!

Suerte:)

Thanks for your response.
I was thinking that it was a kind of "flat fee".
BTW, may I ask you what is the one vaccine I'll have to get?
Thanks again

Doctors must be approved by USCIS.
I called to all of them in my particular area and everybody asking around $350-400. They don't accept Insurance and any HealthPlans Flexible Accounts. Credit Card, Check or Cash only. Last time i did medical it was $650 and I send along with I485. And I lost it. I mean somebody lost it. Postal Service or USCIS.
Medical cost me around $1000. Plus I paid double for I485. Cuz along with my papers I lost money order. That's the big money for me.

My advice to you, send your stuff by registered mail with FedEX or UPS.

I also live in Virginia and I got my medical exam for $100 too. I didn't need any vaccines because I had proof, but like the other poster said you can get the vaccines cheaper at your county health departement. Keep on calling. You can shop around. Where do you live?

You could have used your personal checks. Why money order?

I live in the northern of California, and they explained to me that the medical examination cost around $200 average, and the other tests: skin, vaccines, and so forth cost about another $200 something

Some of my friends here in VA paid around $400 too. I am sure if you shop around you will find something less expensive in N. Ca as well.

I have my medical examination on Friday, I asked them for my vaccination supplement and the told me that it is OK if I have some record from my country. The thing that I did was I called my doctor in my COP he gave me my vaccination paper and my family sent to me 2 months ago. The cost of my exams will be $170 and I don't know if I have to pay something else. But anyways, I have my vaccination record with me just in case if I have to pay for that!!!!

When the request of evidence came to you, It came with a letter which had all the instructions including the address you should sent your medical exams back, and It also said you should include that letter with your pakage. Mine was written in a yellow paper, others are green.

I did medical first time in NYC it cost me around $600 I don't remember exactly.
That package along with I485 was lost somewhere. So month and a half ago i did it again here in Columbus-Ohio, it was cheaper $400 or so. I was too busy to collect information about my vaccination, and I did it at the same place to save my time. Thanks God they received it) nothing's lost at this time)
