This is about GC medical exams.
I haven't posted here for a while but I'm just about to start my "second" green card process.

Some background:

I've been waiting for my employment-based GC for a while. It's EB3 category but my priority date is still 1.5 years away. The economy is in bad shape so I'm a bit concerned about my job and my EB green card.

However, my wife became a US citizen in October. So we're thinking about starting a new, family-based GC process. I sooo much don't feel like doing it, but right now it seems to be the quicker option to get a green card.

I did go through medical exam in the summer of 2007 for my employment based green card. At that time it cost me close to $300.00 because I had to have a couple of shots too.

I've read somewhere that medical exams are valid only for 1 year, correct? So it means I will have to go back and have it redone, I assume.

Do I need to do it BEFORE I concurrently file I-130 + I-485? I presume I do and I have to include the sealed envelope in the package I'm sending to USCIS.

Am I correct? If yes, then this is the first step I have to take, and schedule an exam as soon as possible.

So I'm just double checking whether I'm correct.

thank you.
