call up the DC office and ask them what your DC recv date is. It is usually a week from the day your app reaches SL.

PP Delivery - Update.

Just now I checked the Fedex Tracking system.

The Passports were picked up by Fed-ex todat(08/25/2003) at 1:15 PM.

Likely Delivery time is 08/26/2003 - 10:30 AM.

Hope the passports are without any issues.

Keep you posted once I receive the passports in hand.

At last, I got the passports without any problem at 09:50 AM today.

The Stamp date is : 08/22/2003

Me is still waiting :mad: I did not get a chance to call up the state dept yet. I have checked my fedex tracking though with no luck.

Well I just finished talking to the visa office after like a 30min wait (which ofcourse felt like eternity). Anyways, this lady tells me that DC received the passport on Jun 11th and that the process is taking somewhere between 3.5 to 4 months. :mad: :rolleyes: :(

Ooh well what can I do other than waiting.. Good luck to all of you guys who have already received your passports specially to the ones who have submitted it after me and got it back before me.

klpd4dc : I hope you get your PP stamped soon.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the PP to be stamped and mailed after it is approved ?

I spoke to this lady at DC yesterday and she said that my Visa
needs to be printed. I dont see anything in fedex ... any ideas
guys ???

It's surprising that you still have not received the passports till now. You should call DC and find out your DC receipt date. If, for whatever reason, there is a delay in the PP reaching DC, that might explain this whole delay.
 
Klein,

Since the visa gets printed >= date valid from in the visa on the passport, I think it wouldn't be taking much time for getting the visa printed.

In my case, the date on the visa (in the PP) is Aug 21. I presume it was printed om Aug 21. Fedex collected it the very evening. Hope this helps.

I'm not alone my friend's application was also rcvd on 13th May.
He is also waiting for his PP.

Incase of another friend DOS send the PP to lawyers office (Who applied for H1 extension) instead of his address.
DOS has no process !!!
I'll call DC tomorrow (today is wednesday :( )
Do i need any thing else other than PP Number.

Its better to check

I've seen some cases where it took like 16 weeks ( like one reddy). So dont be panic..also check with DC office..
 
Yes . No need to be panic but safe to call DC as early as possible. Check the fedex or any other tracking also before you call DC.
