May 2020 Visa Bulletin - All CURRENT

But maybe they should firstly send 2NL for those, who are current on May, and just after May - for others ?

Of those that have their DS260 submitted and processed as well as their documents will be scheduled in order for their respective embassies (once they have ability to conduct interviews)
 
@Aidyn Hi, Thank You . Another thing I want to know is, Do I need to a obtain police certificate again for the visa interview ?
I have submitted police certificate+documents in November 2019.

That’s almost always what happens. There have been very rare cases of a region reverting to a cut-off after being current before, but as there have only been around 20% of the annual quota issued so far this fiscal year despite being halfway through, and as only AOS can be done during the EO ban (and probably not even much of those depending when USCIS offices open) it’s almost a certainty to remain current through fiscal year end imo.

That seems logical, though what they will do “first” is most likely to be reschedule all those who got March/April interviews postponed during the covid shutdown.

Dept of State general guidelines have police certificates valid for one year after issuance regardless individual country expiration. However, it seems there are a couple of embassies who go by their country expirations, so check your country specific Instructions too.
 
Hey there! I hope all is well. I am having some trouble understanding what they mean by current. I’m somewhere around 35,000 in EU for case numbers. Does current mean I can/ should apply? Or does it mean that I should not apply as the previous month only hit 30,000?

Some clarification would be very much appreciated, along with next steps. Thank you kindly :)

Current means everyone is able to be interviewed provided they have completed all necessary documentation - DS260 submitted and processed, required docs sent to KCC and processed.

Just to clarify - just because you are current and have docs processed it does not guarantee you will get an interview, just that you are eligible for one. You will still need to be scheduled by the embassy if/when they have availability
 
@Aidyn does that mean I can just go ahead and get started applying albeit being case number 35,xxx?! I want to be very careful with this, hope you understand :)

Thats something only you can decide, if you are concerned at showing immigrant intent by submitting your docs and potentially not being interviewed - no one can give you assurances on this.. but what I can say is that without submitting docs you will never get an interview - your call

hm, if embassy availability was an issue they’d have country cut offs, just like they still do for Egypt and Nepal.

What I meant by that Susie was they will likely be scheduling in order still and with a high case number it may be some time before an interview slot becomes available, especially given the need to reschedule a month+ of interviews

and having a high number but living in a country where the embassy has almost no elect (20elects) and the inhabitants of that country do not need tourist visas ... could there be more possibilities?
 
I'm just a little confused as to what current means, and from what I understand it will only be current from now onwards until September. Could somebody kindly explain it in simple terms and the pros/ cons of it?

Especially as somebody with the case number within EU 35,xxx. What does this mean for me, what are my options?

what do you mean, “pros/cons”? Current means everyone (assuming docs submitted etc, and EO impact doesn’t last) can be processed for a visa. Your “options” are if you want a visa then submit the paperwork, if you don’t ignore it. Your number doesn’t matter anymore for these purposes.
