Mass RFEs?

I got the same REF email.
Looks like computer glitch.

07/30/09: Priority Date
07/31/09: Checks cashed
08/06/09: NOA received
08/06/09: FP Notice Date
08/11/09: FP Notice (self and wife) received
XX/XX/XX: FP done
XX/XX/XX: IL Notice Date
XX/XX/XX: Interview Letter received
XX/XX/XX: SSL letter received
XX/XX/XX: Interview Date

You have to ask to speak to a Tier II IO in order to not get a scripted response.
 
Ok, so an IO called me just now, about my case. I had left my contact information with them earlier.

She did confirm to me that there is something wrong with the system sending out these RFEs. The RFE actually refers to the fingerprinting. My FP have been cleared and now awaiting on queue for interview.

Just thought to let you guys know!! :)

Got FP Notice but Not RFE notice

As mentioned earlier, self and spouse had rfe's raised on 08/11/09 (notified via email) but no sign of it yet in the mail but we got out fp appointment mails dated 08/13/09 yesterday. I think the system message is wrongly worded (as previous post seems to indicate). Can any one verify if this message changes a few days after the FP is done. Our FP is scheduled for the 26th. I'll post my experience and if the message changes after a couple of days of the FP.

As far as I know, nobody got the actual RFE in mail. It was just a change in the online status, and Emails indicating the change in online status were sent to whoever had subscribed to the Emails.
 
I also received the same "RFE" email today from USCIS for me as well as for my Honey. I am positive that this is true glitch, I checked about 10 Application numbers before me and my wife and not one had anything different. I can now go back to work!!
 
I also have the rfe email after the fingerprint notice, but no rfe via snail mail. I called and spoke with an immigration rep. She didnt know anything about the glitch and she opened a service request to resend the rfe in mail with a note not to close my application not to close my file. Weird! Not sure what to think of it.

Same email!!!

Im having the same issue. My case is a straightforward one. No criminal or traffic records at all, and yet I also got the same email indicating an RFE letter was sent out. I made sure I sumitted all supporting documents for the case as well. So, Im hoping this is noting more than a system issue. I would appreciate if you guys keep updating your cases on this forum so we all know what is this all about.

Got an update:my rfe was a mistake

As i mentioned in my previous post I too got a case status update stating thtat AUG 5th an RFE was emailed to me, but then I got a FP notice for AUgust 20th (FP done).
I actually called the 800 number and asked the woman about the RFE, they are just reading off the prompter, anyways she sent a request to the service centrer, and today morning I found this email in my mail box.
Type of service requested:
-- Non-Delivery of RFE Notice

The status of this service request is:

We apologize for the error on USCIS Case Status Online that states you were mailed an RFE notice requesting additional evidence on Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. This is a service error. The notice that was mailed out was your Biometric Appointment Notice with your local ASC which you may have already attended. Your application is currently pending and will be worked in the order it was received by USCIS. Again we apologize for the error and any inconvenience it may have caused you.

I think that all people who gor their FP appts, go this message,a nd it is a glitch.

The date of RFE is same as notice date of July 23rd for fingerprinting. I have not received anything else than FP notices from USCIS.
What is wiered is that the date of RFE as per above is the same as that of FP notice. Is this normal ? How does FP notice issue normally shows in status ?

I have noticed similar message for my case on USCIS website and did not get any mail other than finger print notification. I think we can disregard that mail.

Thanks for confirming that...I just called USCIS and the guy on the call took a shit load of info and said he created a service request and sent it to the DO i.e, charlotte and i should hear back within 45 days(which is retarded).

I think this is a glitch and i am just waiting for my IL. I read on other forums that some who did his/her FP a day before me got the IL.So mine should be on the way.

FP Done

FP Done today for self and wife. Was a breeze. One curiosity we got only one civics lesson packet between the 2 of us ( we were told this was because we applied/came for the fp together). Meanwhile we have not received our "supposed" RFEs that were generated on 8/11/09. Will check the status in a week to see if the message changes if not will call back on 11th Sept (30 days) to complain.
 
FP Results sent to Vermont!!!????

Here is another curiosity in the USCIS process. Self and Spouse had our FPs done on 08/26 (2 days back). I called the FBI fp check number today to see if they had been "processed" (whatever that means). Person at the other end of the phone got name/ss number of my wife and I and then

She asked: "Where did you get your fingerprints done?"
Me: "Elizabeth New Jersey"
She says: " I have no record of any finger print results sent To/From NJ"
Me: :eek:
Me Then: :confused: May be the results were sent to either Lewisville, TX or the National Benefits center.
She then: No I only have results sent to Vermont and that was yesterday.
Me: Oh It might be because New Jersey probably comes under the Vermont Service Center of the USCIS.
Me: Do you have any information of the results?
She: No, I only have that they were sent back for you and your spouse yesterday:
Me: :rolleyes:. Okay Thanks for your help.

My question to y'all - Is this normal to get the FPs sent to Vermont when my application was sent to Texas (TSC?) but I got my notice from the National Benefits Center and I am domiciled in NJ?

Probably it is normal and this is how the USCIS (dis)functions but I thought I'll just churn the waters up :p with this extra bit of info (?).
 
Called 1-800 number today

Me: I just got the FP notice for my number but no RFE but the dates seem to match with FP.
She: The FP and RFE might have the same dates!
Me: I did not receive any RFE but just FP so far.
She: You will need to wait for 15 days and if you have not received anything then call us back and we can send a request.

I also mentioned that there might be a glitch in the online system sending out wrong status. She said that she has no information of any sort and wanted me to just wait till 15 days have finished!

Not sure if this helps anyone! :)
 
RFE mess clarified

I called last week to enquire about the RFE message on the USCIS website for my case. The customer service associate took down all my details. Today I got a letter via postal mail referring to my call, the letter said my biometrics have been received and there is no other info required from my side currently and I should hear something within 90 days. All righty then.

hey qazxsw.. I too will be applying in 90 days... is west palm beach really getting close to 3 month processing? Looking at the few posts on this forum I believe its around than 9-12 months.... let me know.

Yellow Letter received for Spouse

Got yellow letter for the spouse on 10/02/09. Says applicant should bring driver's license at time of interview with the yellow letter. No word yet for me. USCIS site still says RFE on Aug 11th for both. Wonder why some people get the request for driver's license while others don't. Usually Driver's license is a method to prove identity but a passport could do it in the case of naturalization. Maybe it is a proof of address? What info does the DL provide that any other form of id does not provide?
