Marriage witj Green Card Holder

All right guys! Today 10/30/2010 I got USCIS mail says we got APPROVED Noticed for my wife and I CAN APPLY FOR GREEN CARD FOR MY WIFE! It has been only 7 months when I wrote here first and some guys just refused me!!! please if you want to try to help people DO IT RIGHT WAY!!!!

The "shorter way" is that the F2A category has dramatically changed from having a 4-year backlog when this thread started, to a 5-month backlog as of the November bulletin.

Did you pick consular processing on the I-130? If not, you'll need file I-824 to move it to the consulate.

People weren't giving you wrong information. The F2A backlog was 4 years in the early days of this thread. You're just very lucky that the F2A dates have moved forward so ultra-rapidly.

But I thought from reading previous responses that he couldn't sponsor a new wife for 5 years since he received his GC through marriage, so how come his petition was approved?
 
well, we still didn't get the answer as to how he got the GC - as a derivative, as a beneficiary, or independently from his wife (because it seems that he got his GC after they divorced, so something tells me his GC may not have been based on a marriage to his ex-wife). However, he is not answering our questions, but instead screaming at us...
