Marriage in the status of pending

Please help me in my question.

I live in San Francisco.
My case for asylum adopted on April 18.
I do not know the day of the interview so far.

In the form I-589, I wrote Marriage status: Single.

But in Russia, I have a girlfriend. She arrives in the U.S. in June.
She will live in the United States.

We want to get married.

Can we get married before the interview?
Or is it better to marry me after receiving asylum?

It is better to get married before your asylum case gets approved. It will save you a lot of time. If you get married before asylum approval, you can do a follow-to-join which is a quicker process than a GC holder petitioning for their spouse.

If you already filed for asylum, at this point, there is nothing you can do.

Tell your girlfriend not to mention anything about you or about your asylum at the immigration.

Remember that, your asylum status or Green Card status, DOES NOT give her LEGAL IMMIGRATION STATUS. The only way to pass her legal immigration status is when you become a citizen.

Im not saying you can't marry her, of course you can, but she wont get an immigration status in the U.S

I wrote to the I-589, I'm not married.
Can an officer ask for an interview about the wedding?

"Why did you write that are not married, and now you're married?"

Let's consider this option.

1. I get asylum.
2. We're getting married.
3. In a statement on a green card, I add my wife.
4. A year later, she and I get a green card.

Is that possible?

No, it wont work. The only way for her to get status is only if you two were applying for asylum together.

Lik I said, asylum or green card holders will not give her status. I know it for a fact because my friend who is an immigration lawyer and the same one who helped me with my case, told me that.

You cant apply for your green card and add her later. She needs an alien number, she needs to get her fingerprints checked.

If you try to add her with your application, you might have problems with your applice. "You filed for asylum/adjusment of status" and you want to add your wife a year later!? Uscis might consider your case as a fraude. So, please, be careful.

That is not a big deal! But get married before your case gets approved. It will save you a lot of immigration grief. All you need to say is you got married after you sent in the application.

You want to say that after the asylum man has no right to get married until he gets a green card?

I think we are having a communication problem! You can marry her anytime you want HOWEVER, Asylum or Green Card holders WILL NOT GIVER HER LEGAL DOCUMENTS TO STAY IN AMERICA. I wouldn't marry her now!!! I would wait until you become an American Citizen "American Passport Holder" to get married, then, once you are an American Citizen then you can marry her and give her a Green Card.

Green card holders CANT SPONSOR FOR GREEN CAR only if you are an US Citizen.

You are mistaken. A GC holder can petition for their spouse and their unmarried children under 21 yrs. However, the processing times is quite long.

Under 18! My friend just did that for her son. I am sure his girlfriend is waaaaaay older than 18 or 21 lol.

Because to sponsor a green card for a 3rd party, you need to be an American Citizen.

Let's say you are filling for asylum and you have children under 18 years old, then you can use the same application including your children.

Let's say you and "your girlfriend" got here together and DECIDED TO FILE FOR ASYLUM TOGETHER then she would be able to get it.

Why can not I add an application for a green card in the future wife?
