Marriage Certificate - from US

Hello,

I got married in Hawaii. (2 month ago- just before I was selected on lottery ) I have marriage certificate issued by US Department of Health (Honolulu office). We ask them to give us copy which is internationally recognized and they give us some kind certificate with apostle stamp.

We got back to our home country for CP. Do we have to show on interview marriage certificate issued by authority in our home country or is it enough to show this from US.

I Have experience your situation. Show them the legitimate certificate from wherever you got married. Even better for you since its in US territory and has apostille. The worst they can do is to verify with Hawaii and hence put u in what will be a brief administrative processing. BUT you are good to go. All the best.

You do not even need apostille for US consulate. Original Hawaii certificate is fine.

If you have the certificate from the state then you are good to go. Some wedding places issue their own fancy looking piece of paper that may have a seal but is NOT valid for anything. If you don't have the right copy read here http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/vital-records/index.html

I have official document from Department of Health (I was there to take that in person)

Do I need to take some other document from my own country ?? Because that will take time...
