Will not having my major on transcript ruin my TN Visa chances?
I am a Canadian. Want to apply for Software Engineering roles/positions in the US.
I’ll be graduating with a Bachelor of Computing, General degree. That is what my official transcript will say.
Although currently, my unofficial transcript includes my MAJOR: Software Engineering, it won’t say that when I officially graduate because i didn’t meet a university requirement and thus, while the degrees would have said the same thing (ie. Bachelor of Computing) they will remove my major and replace with “General” instead on the official transcript.
How much of an impact will this have? I have A LOT of “CIS” courses (Computer Information Science) that have the word “Software” in the course name. Is that sufficient or will I have a hard time?
