LUD change question

What I could notice is, that usually the approval is preceded by numerous LUD changes.
My case is fairly straightforward, no RFE's, no address changes, etc. I was wondering if this is a general rule, to see so many updates, or an approval might come right after the “FP received” LUD message.
I would appreciate if you can post your experience.

So far, LUD changes are random... i.e. People were approved right after the FP Rcvd message, whereas, in my case it took a lot of LUDs before I was approved.

As far as I have observed: The LUD changes in a sequence (say, for 3 or so days) and after 4 weeks of that you case will either get approval or RFE. I guess when the LUD was changing, the application was being moved into some kind of queue for the adjudicator. And, when s/he gets to it s/he approves or generates an RFE.

My $0.02.

But, am I right that there are lots of people who get approved with no change to their LUDs (apart from the usual "Received" / "FP recvd" / "RFE sent" etc.)?

I guess there are some cases approved without LUD (I would love such a pleasant surprise :) . Most likely, all the applications go through same procedure back at CIS, but for some cases they dont seem to update the LUD (I wonder why?) until the approval. I can imagine a situation where some adjudicator(s) dont care to have the LUD updated when the case enters their so-called queue.

Imaginations ... unlimited.

I don't think that LUD is an manual process, i think it is aumated, my guess is that whenever they try to pull some info from there database for this case, LUD changes automatically, not sure if they keep everything in the DB for that case.

god knows

mine is sep 26 2003
did FP on 10/29

LUD for fp recd 11/05/2004
LUD 2 11/09/2004
LUD 3 11/11/2004

was very hopefull after that something will happan soon but nothin, no more LUD change no nothing.

In case of my i-140 lud changed 4 times and then stopped and then exact 2 weeks after that got the approval msg...
