Hi Everyone,
After my biometric taken, no LUD for 14 months. But I received LUD yesterday and in two (2) consecutive Days, on 5/18/07;5/19/07.

Does it mean, I am getting close to Approval ?

ND: 3/27/06
BIO-3: 4/12/06 & LUD: 4/12/06
LUD: 5/18/07;5/19/07.

Any assessment will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Medical exam good for 1 year for other adjusments only, but not for asylee adjustment. There is a Memo in regards to it, valid thru September 2008. For asylee adjustment validity of medical is extended until adjudication, for all asulees adjustment filed before September 2008.

TB Skin test has always been required to be taken, it has never been a new thing.

My LUD's should be related to something else that has nothing at all to do with Medical / or and TB test.

Please, any other moderators step up to the plate.
Thanks.

This is the MEMO.

Re: Extension of Validity of Medical Certifications on Form I-693

This memorandum temporarily extends the validity of civil surgeon endorsements on Form I-693 for certain
adjustment of status applicants.

For adjustment of status applicants, the endorsement of a civil surgeon on Form I-693, Medical Examination
of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status, is generally valid for one year. Some adjustment of status
applications are concurrently filed with an immigrant visa petition as provided for at 8 CFR 245.2(a) (2).
These applications are filed with a Form I-693 as required by 8 CFR 245.5. Some of these applications
remain pending for more than the one-year validity period.

In a policy memorandum dated January 11, 2006, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) extended
the validity of the civil surgeon endorsement on Form I-693 until the adjustment of status application could be
adjudicated. This policy was issued in consultation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) and is limited to those applications where no Class A or Class B medical condition was certified. The
policy is in effect until January 1, 2007.

Due to the continuing backlog of some concurrently filed adjustment of status applications, the validity of the
civil surgeon’s endorsement on Form I-693, when submitted in support of a concurrently filed adjustment of
status application as provided for at 8 CFR 245.2(a) (2), is extended until the time of adjudication if no Class
A or Class B medical condition is certified by the civil surgeon. This policy will be in effect until January 1,
2008.

Skin test for TB was always required, but once you test positive for the skin test, you will always test positive. In this case, the doctor's just go for the chest x-ray. Unless you have a positive test result, you are not required to have the chest x-ray.

Hi , actually , I recieved RFE last week and last wednesday with my husband we went to have a TB skin test .When we came to a doctor's office he told us that it is not necessary to do the skin test since we have done the X RAY , he also said , ussually they check either way TB skin test or X-Ray .
Well , anyway we took the TB skin test (my husband and I) and he asked us to come back in 2 days . So , I got the reaction on 22 mm and my husband was clear , so the doctor start to scream ,OH MY GOD YOU POSiTIVE  ,and looking at me like crazy .I was going to explain him , that back home when I have had a TB skin test I got an reaction as well ,but the X-Ray was fine .Of course he did not paid attention and was countinuing to scream ....
After 1 hour I"ve done my X-Ray , doctor , my husband and of course I myself were so happy :)))because the result was good , I am clear and don't have a TB (thx God!) and he told me that never ever in the future I must not to do TB skin test only X RAY if need it . So I sent to NCS our RFEs
and now we will wait what is going to be next , as a doctor told me it will not effect on my GC .

DUSHANBE1,
you will be definitely fine. What you have is a reactive skin, it means at some point of your life you have been in touch with the virus causing Tuberculosis. The negative result of the X-Ray, is a confirmation that your lungs are intact and that proves that you don't have TB. BELIEVE ME YOU'RE FINE.
Surveys have shown that most people would have reactive skin anyway. But X-Ray would show the difference.

Is it your first RFE?
What's your time line?
Have you had a LUD change?
Have you had a Biometric yet?

Best Luck.

1 last question.
Did you redo (twice) your Medical as a whole ?
Or this time, did you just redo the TB test part ?

Thanks.
