Documents check for I-485

In case of I-485, when would INS verify the documents (marriage Certf., Birth cerif., and others) before finger prints or after that? Can you expect any RFE after FP?

Hi Guys, I did my FP on 6/7/02. Till now AVM is not updated, it still says on May 1st we mailed you FP notice. How long does it usually take for the AVM to update this message after the FP is done?
 
Documents for FP ??

Do we need any specific documents for Finger Printing? My FP date is 6/19.

We met at I-140 and now we meet again.

Can you believe that I am in the unlucky Apr 8/9/10 ND, and have still not got the FP notices for Newark, NJ

My RD is 03/21 and ND is 04/09

My EAD and AP were approved way back and had got them..

Well yes we meet again. See let me tell you that if you have not received FP it means nothing. I mean as fas as I know it doesn\'t make much of a difference even if you finish your FP early. This process of I485 is going to go by Filing date. So if you are ahead of someone in the filing then your file will be processed earlier than others who has even done FP. Early FP is just for their checks. I guess now INS wants to check each and every application very tharoughly and that is why we all are getting FP so early. This is what I believe.

Hi daj

AP was mailed to my lawyer. Now INS sends AP approval and AP papers to Lawyer insted of individual person.

I did fp on the same day 6/7 and AVM updated 6/17

Says fP info received and processing is resumed.
 
Process resumed after review for FP received at INS

Me and my wife did FP on 06/07. Today heard message on AVM. It says that "Your review for FP is received on 14th June 2002, Process for your adjustment of status has been resumed. If any furhter information is needed then we will send you notice and notify you." So I guess from my side everything formalities are finished. Now just wait and watch if there are any RFEs on their way or not.. if not then it\'s good... but still have to wait.... :)

Anyway guys good luck to all and keep on posting useful information.

I think the message is "Your review for FP has been received on 14th June 2002, Process for your adjustment of status has been resumed. we will send you notice if any furhter information is needed or the case is approved."

I hope that we are waiting for the approval, not RFEs.

Today, I checked the AVM. The message has been changed to "Your review for FP has been received on 14th June 2002, Process for your adjustment of status has been resumed. we will send you notice if any further information is needed or the case is approved." Thanks.

Yes your are right. I just wrote message which i remembered and surly lets hope for the best.. I mean approval.. not RFEs... :)

Yes after FP there can be RFE. I don\'t know exactly when INS checks the documents. But I have heared cases were people has got RFE after Finger Printing. If anyone knows when INS checks all documents please post here. I will also be interested in knowing.

FP done at Newark on 6/14/2002

Folks,
FP done at newark on 6/14/2002. It was really cool experience. We had appointment at 8:00 am. we were out by 8:40. I checked AVM yesterday changed to "processing Resume". Now we just have to stay cool and watch the show. My other details in my previous postings.
