First of all, you are being very impatient. You are dealing with USCIS, remember that. It has not been even a week and you want your checks to be cashed, would like to see status online and so many things all at once. I am sorry but that ain't gonna happen.

Let this week go by and may be next Monday, check with your local bank whoever issued you this cashiers check. I wonder howcome you didn't use your personal check to send USCIS this N-400 fees. Well, it's too late now. If you bank with Bank of America, I can get you their direct toll free number to track cashiers check, let me know, but if you have a different bank, call that bank directly & ask them if they have a number to call where you could track your cashiers check to see if it has been cashed.

Now as far as you tracking your status online, you will have to wait for USCIS to send you a receipt by mail. That will have a 13 digit receipt number.
You need to go to www.uscis.gov and on the bottom right hand side you will see an icon "Check case Status". Enter your 13 digit receipt number & that should tell you your current status. Let us know if you need more help.

It has been 3 working days since you applied. Hold you horses and give it two weeks at least. You should get an NOA in the mail with your receipt number.

Your priority date is the date that USCIS receives your application in the mail room.
The first i step involves USCIS cashing your check or money order. You should receive a notice in the next 2-3 weeks. After that, you will receive a fingerprint notice and finally an interview notice. Seeing that Washington DC is very slow, count on a minimum of 10 months for the entire process.

I read through the replies and I can only agree with them. One other thing though. Do not expect your status to appear online. The USCIS online status system has not been updated in some time. I have already gone through fingerprinting and my SSC* Number is not even recognized online, so don't hold your breath to find your status online anytime soon:D
