Lost HDFC receipt after scheduling Appointment, what now?

Hi friends,

We lost our original HDFC appointment receipts after taking appointment on line (but just know the receipt numbers). We are scheduled to attend for a visa very shortly.

Does chennai consulate will allow without original receipt? Can we get duplicate from Bank (with numbers), if so does consulate allow these?

What is my situation? If any one with similar experience please respond..

Contacted VFS, they said pay new fee and contact Consulate and tell same.
I send email to Chennai consulate, no response.. it's been a week now.. I have appointment next month.

I am in USA.. Is it safe to take risk now? In case Chennai consulate do not accept, I will not get appointment immediately....

Bank is not going to issue duplicate receipt and Consulate needs original receipt so using lost Receipt is ruled out..

Any one with similar experience???
