lost h1B papers

Hi,

I recently got my h1 B papers in January 07. Then i took may papers to SSN office to apply for ssn. After few days when i was looking for my papers i could not find it. I inquired in the ssn office, but they said that they did not find anything.

This is my first time on H1B and i am applying for job interviews right now through my consulting company as well as independently. I am really sacred that what if i dont able to find my papers and if i do not get the job because i do not have the H1B papers.

How can i get another copy of my H1B as soon as posible. I have my passport and I-94.

Please please help me.

your lawyer who filed H1 or employer may be having copy
your lawyer/employer can file for duplicate copy but it may take 5-6 months to get it
do you have H1 visa stamp in your passport?
if you have DL, valid I-94, SSN Card then no problems for job interviews
