Lost H1B approval.. Help Please !

Unfortunately, I lost my original H1B approval notice which is sent to me. I enquired through my attorney to file a duplicate copy of the approval and he says he would charge the same as H1B filing which is $900 + $185 for the application fee.. This is really too costly for me. Can anyone give me any advise or alternative for this.

Is there a way I can get stamping with the copy of the approval notice !?

Can I use the copy of the approval notice and file for the duplicate thro an other attorney who might be little cheaper ?!

Can I do request for the duplicate copy myself instead of going thro an attorney

Please help me with any other possibilities if there is any.. My previous stamping expires in Jan 2005.

----- from DOS you may be able to get Visa revalidated if you have Copy of Approval notice
