Lost Green Card In Pakistan

Hi All,

A friend of mine is in a bad situation. He is on a short trip to Pakistan, but looks like his trip is going to extend a bit. He lost his green card in Lahore; has no clue what to do.

Any one knows how he can get a temporary card, or at least some kind of approval that can help him travel to USA.

------------- he needs to file police complaint, take the copy of Police complant to US consulate Pakistan, consulate can give him stamp on I-94 form with photograph or travel letter,(if he has copy of his GC he should take it to consulate so that they can check his record with A# when he reaches US he needs to file form I-90.
Any one knows how he can get a temporary card, or at least some kind of approval that can help him travel to USA.
