Lost green card after citizenship interview, help needed pls

I did my interview Dec 6th which I passed and was told will receive a letter in the mail regarding date and time for the oat ceremony and discovered just yesterday that I misplaced my green card which will be required on the day of the oat ceremoney. I am yet to get my oat letter. I need help on what to do, I have search and will call the hotel I stayed if it dropped while checking out, I just can not figure out where I misplaced it.
I need advice on what to do.

At the oath, just mention you have lost your GC. Contact your local police to determine if they can provide you a lost report for the card. Bring the report to oath.

You must bring other photo ID to the Oath Ceremony. At the Ceremony, they will have you fill ou a sworn statement about the loss of the card. They will enter it as a lost/stolen card and if anyone tries to use it as a false ID they will be arrested.

They have to be very careful about this situation because of all those other people who lie about losing a card and sell it or give it to a relative. People like you who just misplaced it always just return it after they eventually find it later.
 
Thanks for the advice, I called the hotel I stayed and was told that they found it and the general manager will mail it to me. thanks Bigjoe5 and Bobsmyth for the great advice, I was already thinking this was the end of the road.
