I challange if anyone waited longer than over 4 years on I-485 alone. After many APs, EADs, 2 FP, 2 medicals, (no REF) many many inquires, the wait is finally over.

Up till now, still have no clue why it would take so long...

======

I hope all the old timers are getting approvals very soon.

Congrats. Now You are free to go anywhere in this country. Just kidding....Case details please.

Congratulations Leee!

"Heard from attorney, that USCIS plan to finish all the 485 cases that filed before November 2002 by the end of September 2005."

Never trust any lawyer.

congrats dude....so sorry to hear those bastards made u wait that long but glad to hear you finally got your approval.

i've heard so many people here moan about the retrogression and while that's not good, these guys have only filed their 485's, you've been waiting everyday for 4 years....makes it seem like 8 years....go celebrate man.

That sucks, your wac is the day after mine, mine was WAC 02-076. It was hell waiting for 2 1/2 years, I can only imagine your plight.

However, one thing I'm curious on....why after all this time is this your first post?

When I see all the old timers silently suffering it really does irriate me to see the 2004 and 2005 filers sulking!!

In the past, I tried couple of time to post, but was unsuccessful, though I have been a silent observer. got busy with work, didn't know how to follow with immigration portal to post message.......

Thanks everyone.

dima66a, you are quite right, lawyers are no more than useless. The only thing they are good at is keep filling EAD and AP, for obvious reasons...

2FPwaiter, koolkat, HaraKad, i485appliedec01 and other old timers, so sorry that you have to go through this hell as well. Make sure that you know what's going on, what's CSC waiting for, and verify that what they stated is true. For instance, while CSC says they are waiting for namecheck, we found out from FBI that the request is nowhere to be found. Had we not convienced CSC to resend namecheck request, I'd be still waiting this time next year. (this incident only delayed the process several month though) To me it simply feels no one is working on it. I know it's painful to get any valid info, but don't give up, keep trying. They do respond to senator's office, I often found that info to be quite accurate. Don't put any effort on lawyer, unless they have some connections inside. Hope you all get this over soon.

Not to demean anybody but remember that most 2005 filers had to wait over 3 years for their labor and there are still I know of who are in labor for over 5 years. The wait time for most 2002 filers was in the order of months or maybe a year. Exceptions exist in all places but the general speed was as mentioned. And there are also those who filed for labor (PERM) in 2005 and are already with an EAD. So there's no point directing anger or frustration towards anyone or any category - it's your luck, as some bright guy (I think perm_faq) eloquently described in another forum pointing it towards your Karma.

PS: When I say filers I mean 485 filers

How about that blessed substitute labor????

However I do agree that U have a valid point about Karma. I hope at the end of the day all of us get it.... :)

Its a long wait. Words can't express about the stupid procedures at CSC. You finally made it. Congrats!

Well actually I disagree with you. The fact is that a lot of people who had to and have to wait, went through 2-4 yrs waiting for the labor cert as well (fortunately I wasn't one of them). In addition they have their 485's applications in since 2001/02, so they have in fact been in the queue a much longer time. If you also take into account, we had to file for our I-140's first and wait 6 - 12 months to get those approved first before we could even apply for a 485 - there was no such thing as concurrent filing!!! And most of the people, not all, but most I see whining have just barely put in their 140/485's. Plus last year and even still continuing now, I see people getting approvals within 6 months.... still ahead of these long time waiters. Now I think it's terrible that there is a retrogresssion and the fact people have had to wait 2-3 yrs for labor certs...but in comparison, like i said, i totally disagree with you.

A good case in point is to look at when the people have been a member here since, most have been since "May 2002" and actually the reason why we are "May 2002" is because they had a glich on their system here and reset all of our accounts, we had already been on this site for years, imagine what that is like for a moment if you will, coming here daily for years and years hoping for a shred of information on what is happening - I see you have been a member since "Dec 2004". You see, we've been coming here daily for 4, 5, 6, 7 years, most of the whiners have just joined late 2005.

Anyway best of luck with your approval.
