Today i recive a heavy letter form local NYC INS office for Interview on June 20th. The letter also included couple of
(1) I-693 (Medical form) I don't know why they send me that cuz i last year i sent my Medical report (i-693) and everything was fine.
Also they sent me a
(2) Affidavit of Support 213A form and it's for Financial support.
I don't know why i have to fill up this form beside that i am a Principal Asylee and paying Tax all the time.
Any one have same experince like me please share your thought.
Good luck to everyone

OMG! It's really weird! The only thing that comes to my mind is to try Infopass and bring your asylum approval letter, I-94, your copy of the medical form (which at this point should be less that a year old) and all tax returns with you. The best of luck with everything and keep us posted. There's alway an option of hiring an attorney, but it may be little expensive.

Thanks Morning. I know what INS local office send me is kind of weird stuff specially that Form I-864 (Affidavit Sponsor form) but i will find a sponsor and do Medical again the way INS want it. Although it's may cost some money but i am not doing Info Pass and tell them they send me wrong Form. Also i will take a Attorney with me during the Interview.
Good luck to everyone.

I think you made the best decision, especially about having an attoorney. May luck be with you! :)

You are overreacting. The local offices mail out these documents as a matter of course. The bulk of adjustment cases they handle require affidavits of support. But asylum cases are different. Your interviewing officer will know that.

Relax there is no problem.

Totally agree with thankful.
My husband received a similar package of documents. If you read the accomodating letter, you will see that you should only bring what APPLIES TO YOU/YOUR CASE. If your last medical is still valid, don't do another one, you don't have to.
By the way, the interview was very short and only a couple of documents were looked at.
Don't waste your time/money on more paperwork if what you have already submitted is satisfactory. If they needed something, they would have sent you a formal request for additional evidence/info.
Good luck!

Thanks dilarossi My case was Transfer from NSC to Local NYC INS office on April 20th. And I received Interview letter it's on June 20th.
If you don't mind would you like to tell me which Local office your husband had Interview? and what kind of documents the officer looked and what kind of question IO ask.
Cuz I heard on this forum sometime IO ask all the question from beginning to
End.
Good luck and thanks to everyone.

Asked to see some of the original documents (birth certificate, passports, I-94), verified address, asked for copies of tax returns for the past 3 years.
Just make sure you bring everyting on the list they sent you that applies to your case. Just go down the list and put each document plus translation (if needed) in the same order. That's how we did it.
The interview was very short and general. Good Luck!
