Talked to IIO today -
She was very polite to answer my questions. She told that everything in place. Will be assigned to an officer very soon. They might ask for I140 from NVC. Sometimes they don\'t need the I140 file according to the IIO.
My 485 details are as follows
PD 4/9/1998
RD 2/22/2001
ND 3/2/2001
FD 8/15/2001

AVM : Case has been recieved... (from the start itself)
EAC #: 01-116-xxxxx
If you I-140 had been approved for CP, it seems like I-485 approval could take longer. Your I-140 (if for CP) would have been sent to a foreign consulate via NVC. but VSC needs to retrieve your I-140 before they could further process your I-485.
I don\'t what happens if I-140 for CP sits too long at a foriegn consulate. I hope they don\'t trash it if the canditate does not show up for CP in a while. Does anybody know what happens exactly in this situation.? I hope I-140 (for CP) gets returned back to some "storage" at NVC if the candidate does not show up at a consulate for CP?
Does anyone have correct knowledge of how INS does I-485 processing after I-140 is approved for CP?
Hey Joyous - Could you please post your I-140 approval date and whether it was approved for CP or AOS ?
I saw a few posts with RD/ND in Dec \'00 (with I-140 for CP) still waiting for their approval.
Let\'s us all pool up knowledge-base for I-485 after I-140-for-CP
Thanks
