getGCin2002, I think you are right, I still remember that some people who filed I485 in March just post messages in our original thread and said that they got FP notice, which was gonna be processed in Sep, so I guess the April people might get the notice in October.

Yeah, we have already been delayed for several months, we should not wait that long, but we have to see...

Updating this forum too....

Mailed I-485/EAD & AP papers for self & wife on 4/13/01.
According to lawyer VSC received papers on 4/17/01.

After a long wait, got all 6 receipt numbers on 7/10/01.

AVM says that your application (all six of them) were RECEIVED on 7/2/01.

Recieved our AP documents on 7/12/01.

Wife\'s EAD approved on 8/13/01
RFE for my EAD issued on 8/14/01.

I got it for 1 yr from local office..
after 3 weeks I got a nicer looking card from VSC too...
I donno why they do it in different ways...
 
what kind of RFE do you get for your EAD card?

I don\'t know that you\'ll get RFE for EAD, what was that? Please give more detail information when you have it. Thanks
 
FOR ATTENTION OF VSC 2000

What information is required to be given to IIO to know our A No. and EAC NO. if we have not recieved reciepts yet.
I am unable to get through to VSC phone line any advice. Somebody suggested speed dial , any idea what is speed dial?

Hi, qba, you have to redial many times, because the line in VSC is always very busy. No trick, just dial. When you go into the line, you have to wait about 20-30 min for next available IIO. They are gonna ask you your last, first name, and you DOB, then check you status. that\'s it, hope this helps.

VSC # 1 802 527 4913 . You have to be real patience to reach them.
I spent 15Min for redialing, then hold for another 15 Min. He asked
my last/first name and DOB.

Receipt Notice Mailed yesterday

I just spoke to a nice IIO. He found our( Myself + wife + daughter)
cases in their system.Told Alien and EAC numbers.
Here are the dates:
PD - 06/09/2000
MD - 06/28/2001
RD - 06/29/2001
ND - 08/16/2001
FD - ??/??/2001
AD - ??/??/2002

Received AP approval on 8/2/01. I was thinking of getting an interim EAD from the local INS office after 8/22/01. Today I checked AVM and it says EAD is approved on 8/17/01. Just in time to save my trip to the local office.

Applied AP to local INS office in NYC.
I got just a very tiny receipt for $95 from them
with hand written address on the evenlope.
(No receipt # , just a receipt for the check)
ND of EAD july 12 \'01
Any idea how long it takes for AP to be approved ?

ShanXin, AVM can tell you whether it\'s approved.

AVM said my EAD was approved on August 17 and a card has been ordered,
I am waiting for my card coming in my mail this week.
