Hi! Tsang- Really appreciate give detail information and ray of light.
When you applied it was blue days now dark days have started.

ETA Case Number

Now that Online Case Status Check is available from DOL I asked my attorney for my ETA Case Number and their response was that CIBER do not allow them to provide this information.
Has anybody experienced the same problem?
I don’t understand why the ETA case number is a matter of national security. Why is it hidden by our employer? Even more we are paying for the whole process but we cannot even check for a status.
By the way, does anybody have any knowledge of a CIBER employee that got his GC through CIBER?

Well, not sure why the attorney would not provide you the info...seems foolish. I got it when I sent email before applying for H1 extension.
I'm sure many would have got GCs thru CIBER. I knew one guy who got his gc & moved out.

Any word on conversion to RIR...with the new provision that is out...guys get active...:)
rgds.

I am sure lawyer should have the Case # that is issued by Dallas BEC.
If not, it's the issue with lawyer's office and certainly not with CIBER Corp.

Follow up with your lawyer.

Labor Cert. Approved.

I heard from my lawyer that the labor certification is approved. :)

***Note that this was a conversion from NON-RIR to RIR.****

I need advice on choosing the right path i.e. wheather to choose the I-485 option or Opt for CP in India (Mumbai) ?

What are other possible alternatives to expediate the whole process e.g. conversion from EB3 to EB2.

Don't loose priority Date and opportunity with CIBER.

They are a national company and direct supplier with end clients , they can find a job assignment virtually in any big city across the nation.

Good luck everyone!!!

Dependency of PD for CP

lfgc, Thank you.
It's one step closer giving a slight relief but a long way to go!!!

In my case, CP may not be helpful as I previously thought. I still have to wait for my priority date to become current, before the National Visa Center will issue the packet 3 and schedule an interview.

Hence the only option remained is to go ahead with AOS.

What are the pros and cons of AOS ?
What if I still decide to go ahead with CP ?

Please advise.

do it quickly...info below:

"In January, there is one important date which the RIR conversion hopefuls should keep in mind. January 20 will be deadline to request the RIR conversion in harmless opportunity. Even after January 20, TR people may be able to continuously seek RIR conversion, but such conversion attempt will accompany a high risk as there will no longer be "harmless hold" protection. The harmless hold RIR will also allow amendment of the TR application inasmuch as such amendment will not bring about a material change to the occupation. Substitution of alien beneficiary is usually not considered a material change and the current harmless hold RIR conversion will offer a golden opportunity to substitute the alien beneficiary. There is one caveat if one decides to seek the harmless hold RIR conversion. Once the request is filed by January 20, 2007, the employer should submit by all means the recruitment result by April 1, 2007. Should the employer fail to file the recruitment result, the employer will not only lose the opportunity to covert TR to RIR but TR case itself will be denied and one will lose the priority date. It is critically important that once one decides to go for the harmless hold RIR conversion, one should file the recruitment result, even if it is defective, in order to protect the priority date. Once the recruitment result report is filed and denied, the case will fall back to the TR queue and in that regard, the priority date will not be affected. Important to remember!"
