LC halt due to string of Layoffs

Hi All, Hopeing that somebody can answer this question.
My company got locations in TX, FL, PA etc. even though Corp. Head Qtrs is in TX the others also pretty big. So If I work in PA, where will my LC go. To Tx or to PA. Thinking of starting of my new GC processing.

All the Above Cases must be RIR !!

As we see in the DOL Sutomated messages that they are currently processing Nov 2 2002 for RIR and June 2000 for Regular. Since all the above belong to after June 2000 they all must be RIR. It looks to me that they are sending NOF to most of the cases and upon successful answer by the employer/attorney the cases are getting approved. Thats why the Delay between the case receipt time in September and Current processing of Nov 2. Looking at the data it is pretty encouraging.

WHO EVER IS able to get this Data It is really great. Keep Posting. Also could you let us know how you get this data (If U let your trick out !!!)

Great Updates !!!!! But !!!!!

The status updates are excellent. But just want to caution that many of them need not belong to the Software Job, the one primarily affected due to layoff situations. By and large I have seen that DOT code starting with 030 is linked to a software job.. So updating this as an opinion to set a realistic expectations... If anyone thinks otherwise please fell free to respond.
 
Labor for "Lay Offs" still uncertain...

Guys, Before the Memo on "layoff cases" was issued by Labor Department, my Lawyer wrote me that Labor Department has agreed to decide in our cases as soon as they get answer on certain issues from our employeer. Now, after the memo has been issued, she is no longer as optimistic as she was before. It seems, the new policy is like.. "deny labor for "layoff company cases". Those days were gone when RIR used to be a safe and efficient process. Now, CO will use his personal discretion more than ever to decide on a case. So, guys please "wait and see"...don\'t be toooooooooo optimistic. Thanks to you all.

layoffs situation

Based on new "MEMORANDUM FOR: REGIONAL CERTIFYING OFFICERS" there are several positive things

if company has Layoffs people,then CO has to serve a notice to employer and employer responds back about layoff employees skill set is diffrent then applicant skill set, CO will approve applicant application.

if company has not done any layoffs in last 6 months CO will approve applicant application. Based on my understaning TEK companies laid off people around 2001 november and now it would be allright.

4GCCARD1 is doing great job !!!

Thank you man !!. This gives us an idea of how the trend with DOL is??. also I would like to know why so few certifications only at SF DOL. I thought they should be processing atleast a 50-100 applications per day. Then why this partial list. Also 4GCCARD !! How do you get this info. Can you get this also for Seattle DOL. That will be a great help to us in Seattle area.

There is no holding at least for Boston DOL. Everyone got a NOF as long as you are working for a company which had layoffs on similar position. Latest notice from DOL also confirmed this. At the same time, most companies fell that there is no way they can win the case, so they are reluctant to fill rebut. The only way left is to wait at least 6 months and then start from beginning. It is the damnest thing working for such a company.
