Last name question etc ...

Hello and thanks for the opportunity to receive any help in riddling and troublesome questions. I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

First, I'm German citizen who currently lives in Mexico. My wife is Mexican citizen and my children have dual citizenship.

My wife is from a country which isn't permitted to enter the Diversity Lottery. Will this influence in any way my chances of wining the Lottery? Could it disqualify me? I have to enter her as my spouse.

Also when I enter her, I run into a problem. As I have seen in the required information, the form only offers one last name field. Mexicans have actually two legal last names. Can I enter both of her and my children last names in that field?

I would appreciate any assistance or guidance.

No, this will not influence your chances of winning or disqualify you.

Use the name that is in their passport. Look at the very last last-name that says in the passport and use that as the last name for the application. For example: Alexander Romeo Johnson Smith. Use Smith as the last name. Even though Johnson is also a last name. The other document that you can use is the birth certificate (for your Children). That way, if the issue comes up, you can show proof that it is the last name used in the passport.

My Mother has similar problem, after She got married, She retained her maiden last name and also got a last name from my father. She goes with my father last name every time She introduce herself, but in her passport, both of her last names is written, and the last last-name in the passport is her maiden last name. She uses her maiden last name every time She apply for visa, buy tickets, etc because it is easier to proof what her name is based on the passport.

That is not problems for your chance , because you are married with her.
You are the principal applicant and the chance is for all family group.

if her last name legally consists of several words, you have to enter the entire string of them into the Last Name cell.
