L2 EAD renewal online application error

Hi

After submitting my I-765 renewal online, I noticed that I had swapped my Last and First names (how stupid of me )
I still have to send my paper documents.

Since this is a renewal, could someone advise me on my next steps. I only have 90 days before my old EAD expires

Send a letter along with the other documentation explaining the mistake you made. Then wait for either the card or an RFE. Good luck.

Hi - Thanks for the advice. I received the renewed EAD card yesterday. But the first and last names were swapped in the printed card.

Do I have to get it corrected or can show it to my employer and use it till my next renewal which is end of the year?

The problem with the correction is I have to go through the entire proccess again and I don't know how long it will take this time. Also, I have to send the incorrect card back to them if I need to get it corrected.
