I came to this country on L2 in 1999 when L2 was not authorized to work. I changed to H1 in 2001. How long can I stay on H1 Visa? From when the 6 year clock starts?

If you would have filed your own LC in 2003 or 04 you can stay as long as you want until you adjust your status by extending your H1 every year.
