L1B to H1B - Help Please

Hi,

I am working on L1B with company A and i got my H1B approved (not COS) thru company B (Oct 2006).

I have my valid L1B visa upto 2009. Now my marriage date got fixed on Nov 2006.So i just planned to join company B on H1B only after Jan 2007.

In between for Company A , i am going to Germany for short trip and coming back to US using my L1B on Oct 2006.

Then i am going to India and coming back to US with my wife on L1/L2 through company A on mid of Dec 2006.

My question is,

1. Can i join company B on H1B on Jan 2007 ?

2. If so , Can i go to Canada/Mexico to get my H1 stamped?

3. Will my last 2 entries after my H1 approval (Oct 2006) using my L1 visa affect my H1 stamping on Jan 2007 ?

Please answer my question and make me sleep ... :)

1) You can join by applying for change of status (L1 to H1) which costs normal H1 application fee.

2) Not recommended to go to mexico and canada.

3) No
 
I am in the same boat.My current status is L1 but I have approved H1 petition.
Company A had applied for L1 extension after H1 (applied by company B) was approved.
Can I work with company B on H1 by change of status without going out for H1 stamping?How is it done?

H1b Approved with denied stay extended, so next what ?

Hi All,
Recently I transferred my H1B from company A to company B, now H1B is approved for company B. But it's approved without 1-94 status. This is one issue & the other issue is i came to US in Jan 2006 through company A & was on bench for two months for which I dint receive any pay stubs. Now if the consular in India questions about those pay stubs what I need to answer.

Do I need to go to India for Stamping of H1. Or is there any other alternate.

My family is here on H4, how would it effect their visa. Kindly suggest me. Can we request INS to re-open the case ? or instead of going to New Delhi, can I go to Canada ? Or, if I change the company, do I get any benefits.

Do I get any legal help from you? please let me know ASAP........
