L1A duration query

I was on L1B visa last 4 years continuesly, recently have been changed
to L1A visa thru same employer.
As stay period L1B eligible for 5 years & L1A for 7 years.
Can I stay 7 more years on L1A OR 3 more years as I was on L1B for
last 4 years?

U can only stay for 3 more years. All ur years on H1 & L1 are counted towards your extended stay.

if you change from L1(5 year max) to H1(6 years max), you can stay in
the US up to 6 years including L1 and H1 period. Following the same rule,
L1B -> L1A allows you to stay up to 7 years which is ruled by L1A.
If you need to stay more than 7 years, you need to get E visa.
