My wife is on a L1A . Her current assignment is coming to an end suddenly, and she is hoping to find another assignment soon with the same employer.
My question is if she is unable to find a project soon, what is the legal limit on the time she can continue to be maintain her L1 status, between the projects, if she is off the company payroll, or if she is on a loss of pay leave ?
Also, considering the current situation where employers are audited on immigrant workers very closely, will the companies be lenient under situations?
