L1 to H1 Transfer ( Help )

Hi,
I came to USA on L1 Visa in to work for company A, i got a offer
in another company B and they filed my H1 , with change of status. It also got approved .I have been told by Company B that i can start working from them from 1st Oct 2006.

However, due to my personal problem i am considering to to leave the country by Sep 30th 2006,before my status is changed and also planned to get stamped by 3rd week of october and join the company B from November 1st week of 2006.

I want to clear these questions from you

1.Kindly let me know which is the Best option,"To Leave the country before my Status is changed from L1 to H1 and get Visa from india and come back to join the Company B." (or)
Continue to work for Company B from Oct 2006 and go back later ( Next Year) and get it stamped from India.

1. If i leave the country by Sep 30th , is my H1 valid from 1st Oct 2006 since its an tranfer from L1 to H1 (or) i should be in the country when my transfer is getting reflected.


3. If i choose option 1 ( Leave the country) what extra documents i would require when i go for Visa in US consualte in India.

Kindly help me on this.

1) there is no pros/cons between two options if you intended to get H1 stamp. You can pick whichever works for you.
2) If you were in the US on Oct1, your status becomes H1 on Oct 1. If you were not in the US on Oct 1, you can enter the US anytime after Oct 1, WITH H1 STAMP.
3) No extra document is necessary just because of your leaving before H1 start date.

Is your H1 visa with a consulting company? You might want to get some information on the company, pictures, more details about what project you are working on etc. when you go for your H1 visa stamping. I know a lot of people who didn't get their visas as they were asked to furnish those and even after submitting them, many had trouble getting the visa stamped. So just be very prepared.

Can you please let me know what kind of Details i require.
What kind of picture i need to proceed.
If i am going in end of sep i would not have known about the client which i am going to work for. In that regards how can i explain them about my clients
