L1 to H1 question

Hi,

I am currently on L1 visa in GA. My Visa is expiring on sep20 and so is my I-94. I found a consultant who can process my H1 for this year 2005-2006. Will i face any problem/rejection in getting my H1?? My company is going to file for an L1 extension soon.

since i heard from somebody that they faced a rejection because of this issue.

Extend L1 and process H1 simultaneously. So that you will not face any problem even h1 is not approved, and your L1 employer may not aware of this also.

Thanks great guru for the prompt reply.

But my company is just planning to extend my I-94 just weeks before it's expiry so that we need not to extend our L1 and get it stamped. This is latest info.

In this situation is my H1 is in trouble.

No.

As long as you file your H1 before expiry of your I 94 you are OK
