L1 Stamping - Canada/Mexico

Hi All,

I have my L1 renewed and my stamp on the passport is expired. I now have a renewed passport too. I was thinking of going to Vancouver to get my Visa stamping done. Does anyone know how long does it take to get the stamping done? I need to book my hotel for the time I will be in Canada, so need to make sure I have enough time. Also, has someone driven to Canada for this with Indian passport? I am thinking of driving instead of flying so that I have time flexibility.

Also, if I go to Mexico, how long will it take?

Please suggest.

Thanks
Guru.

Have to say, driving into Canada is absolutely your best bet vs flying. When you fly, you have no attachments/assets, so they think you're more likely to stay indefinitely. When you drive in, they don't always ask you very many questions or give you a hard time. I'm a USC and I've gone both routes several times.
