L1 pending - H4 valid

Hi,

I am waiting for my L1B petition to be approved. It will take 4-6 weeks for the same. Meanwhile, I have a valid H4. Can I travel on the H4 and once my petition is approved, start working in the US?

I am pretty sure this can be done for H1B but not sure about L1B.

If you enter the US with H4 visa, your status is H4, and you can not start working even though you have L1 or H1 approval. You need to change your status to H1 or L1 in the US by filing I539 or need to enter the US with H1 or L1 visa before starting to work.
