L1 B Visa Total Stay

Hi
I am in USA in L1-B visa from Apr 2005. I heard that I can stay upto 5 years on L1-B visa and can apply for L1-A and stay for 2 more years(total of 7 years stay in L1 category).
My visa was issued on Apr 2005 and I came here on July 2005. While calculating the total stay period of 5 years, Do I need to take from Apr 2005 or from the period of arrival (July 2005) and in between July 2005 and now(Mar 2010), I have taken 4 months vacation. So this 4 months of vacation should be included in the total period of stay or we can deduct this?.

Please advice.

Thanks

Do you meet the conditions needed for L-1A?

Hi,

I'm in US on L1A Visa which was granted to me for 1 year (My company being new in US), this Visa expires in September 2010.

I have currently employed from March 1st week onwards 4 employees a) Myself-General Manager b)Manager-US Citizen c) Salesman - US Citizen d) Book keeping-US Citizen. The total amount of taxes being paid by me for all 4 of us PER MONTH is $1550 which includes the Federal Tax, Social, Medicare, NY State Tax.

I need to know is this enough and the employed people as above their designation is right to show??

Thanks,
Rajeev

hi,
I have the same situation , iam paying taxes for 4 people since 2003, and I have been granted twice the renewals for L1A , my 7th year will complete in 2011, and they have rejected my I140 application 3 times during this period ,and with those same docs i have recieved my extensions, the lawyer says both L1A extension ans I140 need same document , they qualify me for extension and denies I140,
