Freakishly got through on the first attempt!

Anyway, I called on the pretense of asking
whether I should renew my EAD (expires Nov 25th),
but really to see whether my case has been assigned.

IIO said, "your case hasn't even been looked at"
and "we're currently processing UP TO Sept 1st".
IIO recommended my extending my EAD because
"[AOS cases] are taking a long time".

Why did I do it? Why did I call? I know 70% of what
they say is bogus, but it still has me down. :-(

Anyway, just thought I'd share.
 
good question to ask yourself..

I had called INS in March when I was worried about not getting FP notice..(it was like 6 months after RD). I called them twice in the same week. The second time was for the RD-ND confusion. The second time, IIO asked me why I had called them in such a short duration and I told her abt the RD ND confusion. I do not remember now abt that conversation. Anyways, I did not get any useful information from them. Then, I heard that INS deliberately delays the case if one calls them frequently. This made me lose sleep several nights until I recd the notice around end of march.
Now I keep telling my spouse that I am going to call INS. He asks me not to, in fear of losing sleep (God knows how many days).

When is this all going to end ?????

I have called five times in total.

Once in April to see status. Once in June.
Then an address change in July.
Then to confirm address change in August.
Now I just called regarding EAD.

Is this excessive? Now I am even more depressed.

Roran, is there anything other than anecdotal evidence
to suggest the INS blacklists frequent callers?

Recently, I heard from many that INS delays if someone calls frequently. This is crazy if it's true.

Why the hell then IIO are sitting there.
Maybe we are not supposed to disturb them in their gossips.
 
Hi, folks,

please do not get depressed by this rumor! Frequent call does not delay nor expedite your case. They are there to answer calls.
However, we have oberseved that some IIOs (one of them is a male one) get more and more rude to frequent callers.

During I140, I called many times (every week) and contacted senator 3 times, there is no deplay nor expedation in my I140 case.

I am also a frequent caller during I148. I am not worry about it.

anyway, this is a complete nightmare in every aspect. when all of there damn worries go away, loard?

It seems like that LORD is needed to be something-ed.

I do not believe

that calling them will delay the case. What depresses me are the replies they give..like last time they said my RD is Nov 16 which is actually my ND. I do not want to hear that again.
I have come to the conclusion that under the worst case scenario I shld be approved at least by my ND or is too much I am expecting from INS???

Guy or Gal what difference does it make. It's all in the mind.....For those who enjoy the flirting she's a girl for those who dont she's a guy.
