June'2004 visa revalidation tracker

Hello

Dont worry
A friend of me sent in around the same time. He didnot get his
passport back. Next time when you call in tell them that you
sent in passport sometime in May. Then they will look and
tell. H1B extns need only a copy of PP. Hope u have a copy of
it. I sent in my pp on July15 still waiting. Yesterday I withdraw
my application.
I think you will get it in couple weeks.

sbabunle...u meant H1 transfer and not H1 extension....I already recvd my extension and thats the one I have sent for stamping....

4:00 EST is the "charm"

Okay...so I called up and maybe 4:00 PM EST is the right time to call...the lady just listened to me and asked for my passport number and told me that they recvd my passport on 8/17 which is like last week....they took almost 45 days to recv the passport...that sucks.....based on the replies I am seeing in the Junly tracker I am guessing that they are working on 7/15 timeframe right now which would mean at least 3-4 weeks more for me....
When I asked the lady about more details that how long will it take for me to get the passport back...she said that she can talk to her supervisor and call me back...she even took my cell # to call me back....
Now I hope that I can convince my new employer to file for the transfer with me not having my passport with me.....I have mailed the attorney and am waiting for their response....lets see...

Call to DC Visa Reval Center

After being turned down 3 times by the same lady , saying that she cannot give the status of my application. I finally got thru', the lady took my passport number and came back in a few minutes. She said are you "Mr ....... ", she said it was transfered to DC in the first week of August and its still in process. Was good to finally get a confirmation that they are working on it.
 
Got my passports back

I received my passports finally after revalidation. I sent them out in Feb and received them on Aug 27th after 6 months. The stamp date was Aug 25th. In the end Patience is Sweet.

For all those who have not yet received their passports it is best to be patient and hope for the best.

How did you wait this long? Did you not call them asking them after it was past the 8 - 10 weeks of processing time?

You have to call 202-663-1225 and then press 1 and 0

Wait for operator.

p.s. you need your passport no to find the case status.

Yeah guys,

Same thing happenned to me...i have noticed that the person who is VERY RUDE is not american she seemed like a black lady or maybe sounded like a spanish..if u get her..just disconnect.... :p ..but...thats not it...i tried again..and this time the other lady was kind enuff to take my pp number...but all she had to say was that it was under process ....and no amount of pressing could get anything out of her....I even asked her a very very rough estimate.....she in the end said...if u want me to speak by virtue of experience...i have none...i have zero experience since i only handle cust calls...and don't process anything.....guys anyone with better luck ...better answers please let us know...

Thanks to all the members of this forum for your input and feedback.
Time is come to quit from this forum.

Today, I got my passport back with visa stamped. Everything looks good.

Here are my details :

Passport Sent : 25th June 2004

Washington DC Received : 27th July 2004

Visa Stamped : 31st August 2004

Finally Received : 3rd September 2004

Once again Thanks to all members/users of this forum.

Pending since June

Today I talked to te Visa office (after holding 15 min.) and told her that I applied for almost 12 weeks so could you please check my status. She replied the process takes 12-14 week generally.(If I told that I applied for 8 weeks then she would have replied it takes 8-10 weeks and for 10 weeks she might have answered 10-12 weeks)
However, after some arguments she agreed to check my status and said the file is not processed yet so wait for two more weeks. I said all of my clleaggues got their passports even they file one or two weeks after me and she was unanswered. Then she said "you can withdraw if you want to and the withdrawal takes @ 3 weeks"
Isn't that stupid and awful? My exp. with this dept. is enough to argue those who always blame Indian Govt. and Govt. Employees for their accountability. Anyway goodluck to you all and hope we all will get our PPs soon.
