THis is the biggest jump in amost 2 years, does'nt that say something. Why cant you just understand that FB1 was stuck because of the then amnesty of 2001..thats why the category did get stuck at April 22 for over 18 months. The backlog is now cleared so I can almost bet you will see much better movement from now. Be patient, you are just around the corner.
hehe, i can understand them giving the amnesty but what i cant understand is why fb1 have had to suffer for it. i mean, they just cant give the amnesty to some illegal immigrants while letting daughters and sons of their own citizens to be stuck for 18 months and do nothing.

The problem was that a lot of those illegal immigrants were the sons and daughters of naturalized citizens, and therefore used FB1 numbers.
i need serious advise/help
ever since i got adopted back in 92, i have series of bad luck with my greencard application.
first, my family didn't know i need to apply one.
then, after i turned 21, i can't apply for one anymore.
finally,I filed my I-130 before 4/30/01, and got a reciept date of 5/15/01; later approved with pd date of 5/25/01.
now, i am so worried that I can't use 245i because i have a reciept date and pd later than 4/30/01.
can anybody help me and give me any advise?

Well, I think you are safe and your priority date is current, If you did file before the last day under the 245i law and although you have a priority date after the 30th its still doesnt matter. The USCIS was instructed to accept all filings that has a postmorked date up until the 30th. I would'nt worry about it. Start the paper work now., and in the meantime consult a lawyer. Members can correct me if I am wrong on this.
As I said, as long as your apllication was postmarked up until the 30th April 2001, you are safe, because the NIS at that time receive them late thats the reason why you have a priority date after the 30th...By the way they wouldn't have the authority to approve it, if was file after the 30th......
