I couldn't find a thread with June applicants hence starting a new thread please post your dates for SL (or DC if you know that)

My details are

SL sent: 2 June
SL received : 3 June
DC : ?

Sent to SL on 27th June
Received by Williams in SL on 30th June.......... grrrrrrrrrrr lost 2 days as 27th was a Friday !!

Any updates how long its taking... looks like 3 months by the postings here.

Its seems its taking 3 months for now.
Please post if anyone is getting thier stamping earlier.

Based on some of the other threads (in this forum and other forums) it is actually taking more than 3 months..
Until or unless things improve we are looking at around 12-14 weeks before you get your passports back.

Talked to the DC office

Hey..

I spoke to the lady at the DC office just a couple of minutes back...

As soon as I told her that my application was received at SL on 30th June...she just said..

" Your application will be reviewed by 15th September and if approved you shd get your passport by 25th September"

and banged down the phone....

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .... I wanted it earleir..

Anyway.. lets wait and watch !

What is the Phone No of the SL office that you spoke to ?


What was your approx. wait time to get your call answered ?

You can get your status from DC #
202-663 - 1225 with option 1 & 0.

Wait time anywhere from 30 mins-??
(if you are lucky you will get the right response)

Anyway have patience right now we are about 3 months+ (people will April 21 SL sent dates are just getting their passports back hence if things don't get worse you are at least 6 weeks away from getting your passport)

My cashiers check was encashed on 23 Jun.

SL Revd : 2nd June
DC Rcvf : 12th June

I called in today 202-663-1225 (Select option 1
and 0) and spoke with Visa specialist. She said currently they are processing mid May 2003 cases and it takes 12 to 14 weeks (from DC recvd date) for PP delivery.

Since I am travelling to India on Aug 28th, I sent a fax to withdraw application.

Hopefully I will get pp before that.

Will update you soon.

I called the DC office yesterday, and the lady I spoke to just told me that it is taking 12 weeks to process, so I can calculate when I will get my passport back.

She was not rude, but not at all informative.


Some of you have gotten better responses at the DC office, including particulars about your case. Do we just have to get lucky and get the right visa specialist to talk to ?

For most part I think we should avoid calling the DC # that is the reason why we have forums like these to help people understand where the process is now.

I am not sure whether it makes an impact on the process itself but apart from the fact that you might come to know the DC date there is not much value.

Of course in situations where you see other people with similar dates getting passport then it makes a lot of sense to check on your application till that time have patience and hope the process speeds up...

I will update June applicants status shortly but seems like we are in second week of May application processing based on the other May thread hence if all goes well June applications should be getting processed in another 2-3 weeks.
