July'2004 Visa Revalidation Tracker

Hey swas
I had the same experience. Couple time they said me that
they can't give me any info. Today I called them and told
I submitted everything sometime in May and I'm really worried
about the situation. ( SL got my things on Jul15). If you said
the truth they may not look up in computer. She checked in
the computer but couldn't find my info. Seems like its stuck
in SL.

Hello Folks
I called up DC today and they had a look up in the computer
but was not received there. My passport is received in SL
on Jul15. Check cashed on Aug 4. I'm glad that at least they
received my check :)

Sorry to hear you are still waiting. Wish you good luck. I tried calling several times and was lucky only once as I had said before. I would say that if your check is encashed then wait for 2-4 weeks from that time for your visa to be approved. Now they are processing real fast. If you submit a withdrawal like me then you may mention that and say that you are concerned that your application might be lost and you wanted to confirm that the application is there. After the check is encashed it takes 10 days for application to reach DC. After that it takes 2 weeks for stamping max..This is the trend I had noticed. All the above from my personal experience. I got my 485 approved and so was desperate to get my PP back. Finally I got it back with the H1 stamping on Friday and went the next Monday for I-551 stamping. Please be patient. Your check getting encashed is sure sign that your PP is safe.

thats strange. Did she ask your PP#? For me, she asked for the PP# and asked me to wait , then came back saying my last name, first name etc and said our application is in from Aug 5th.
She asked for our application date (July 2nd) and said its not even turn over time to check about this application, but still she checked.

thanks everybody for helping me but still I dont know when is DC received data. My check encasheed on 7/7 so hoping it reached DC around 7/25. And I should wait till 8/25 !!!
 
Guys:

I have applied for withdrawal as my 485 is approved. I called y'day and they told me my application was withdrawn y'day. Today evening fedex tracking says picked up package (updating the list). So, shld receive it in a couple of days. Well, best of luck u guys.

My attorney has received the packet. I tracked and I called him and he said he would have a look at the whole packet and give me a call to come and pick it up. I have withdrawn my application. As far as I can think of, it would be just a return as it is. I will update once I see it.

My check was cashed on 7/4 but still its
not received in DC. I ne'er needed my passport
so badly because of several reasons.

Good News

First of all I want to thank the forum members who really helped me a lot and gave me a lot of information.
By the grace of GOD, yesterday morning in FEDEX I saw that our PP have been picked up, at around 2pm the passports came to my home and my wife received them.
Everything looks good.
My details

Sent to St Loius – June 25
Check encashed – July 7
Visa issued – Aug 13
Fedex pickup – Aug 17
PP rcvd – Aug 18

Only one issue I have my notice of action end data was Feb 13 2005. But the visa was issued till Feb 23. I think this is not an issue. Any comments.

Hey Everybody,

I have been following this thread pretty closely..thanks for all the great information being posted here...after reading this stuff...i wanted to post a few findings that followed after reading some things from here...was not able to do that for a frustrating few days, because my id was not active...had to create a new one :p before doin that again...anyway...

So, here is what I know...

Firstly, my application reached the SL office on 06/07/04 -- i tracked the fed-ex ...Someone on this forum had mentioned about some applications being sent back to SL after being recieved at DC..due to some data errors..am sorry my friends but thats true.....i called the DC office many times...and there is a rude lady who never gives any info...then i realized that i was making the call at the same time...each time..so i changed my call time and then i got a different person...at first she did not give me much info...but when i asked her about the visas being sent back to SL, she got my PP number and said that although now, my PP is in DC..it was sent back to SL for correction...apparently..data is first entered at SL and then the disk is sent to DC following which it is processed by the analysts...now, this process takes 10 working days (from the day the application is recieved at SL)...but due to this, my application which was supposed to be in DC by 07/20 was recieved on 08-04...and i believe it was for some 4000 passports....which have been delayed due to this.....and thats why we see that some guys are getting it sooner, even though they sent PP's later than many of us....

I asked her how long it would take, but she just gave the standard answer...8-10 weeks....from DC recieved date....however, i estimate it to 4-6 weeks..from DC recieved date....because she kind of hesitated when she said that...and it seemed like she did not want to commit to a sooner date....

Someone was asking in this forum, about what is the best time to call...well...after this call i have'nt made a single call..cos therez really no point...but i got this info...when i called at about 1:45PST....which wud have been 4:45..and i thought that bcos they wud be in a hurry to leave they may give some info ;-))....this also puts my plans to visit into jeopardy..have'nt been home in 3 years :-(...sent my wifey...thinking i will join once i get PP...but thats another story....well..shez there till oct atleast..so hopefully it works out much before....

Did your application reach St. Louis on 6th July or 7th June (you said 06/07/2004). I hope its 6th July, otherwise other applications are going to be seriously delayed.

My passport was received in SL on Jul 15. Any
idea how long it could take. I called up DC yesterday
and they said they didn't receive it yet.
For various reasons I ne'er needed my passport so badly.
Its been sitting in my bag idle for last 10 months. All of
a sudden when I sent it for revalidation all kinds of things
are coming up to frustrate me.
Lets wait keepin fingers crossed.

Hi all,
Does anyone know how long it might take from DC rcvd date. I am eagerly waiting for my passports as there is a need to travel. my DC rcvd date is Aug 5th.

Guys,
I called couple of times today to DC office to check the status of my case, but somehow the lady was not teling the status of my revalidation, finally checked the fedex site for my tracking no, it is showing as it has been picked today at 2:26pm. expected to reach on monday by 3pm.

Ananya123. I'm in a similar situation, my passport is expiring Feb 22nd 2005, I hope it means 6months from St.Louis received date. I also heard one would need a passport valid for atleast 6 months to re-enter US, not sure how true that is...how would I find out?
