Nothing Srini, I called today and couldn't get any info except for "it takes 5 to 10 working days and with the huge vol. it might take longer", so just keeping my fingers crossed hoping that I will get it in another 3, 4 days so that I don't have to reschedule my tickets.

Out of anxiety, I called the DC office. I got a reply that my application was withdrawn today. I donno when they will mail back to me. I tracked the fedex and it shows no record as yet.

I found out that DC office received my application on Aug 5th. My application was sent in July 1st week

How?

How you found that your application is received on DC office on Aug 5? Did they take your PP number?
Every time I call they say she cannot give any status over the phone as they do not do. I tried several times.
Any technique is appreciated.

Thanks for the info!

Also could you let us know when your check/MO got encashed. You can call the bank from where you took the MO or cashier check and they can tell you the date when it got encashed.

We called DC office. The lady asked for the passport number and said they received it on Aug 5th at DC office. She said we would have to wait some more weeks! thats it. hope this helps. BTW which number did you call.

Hi vnra300,
I dont have any idea about check/MO cashed date, as I applied through my company attorney. If DC has rcvd my appln, that means already my check is encashed, correct?
also my attorney suggested me not to call DC office (??). I do not see any problem in calling them to find out the status. may be they dont answer all the times!

does anyone know after DC receives the appln, how long it takes.

I didnt have to convince her anything. I was asked for PP# .

check the options you are chossing on the phone is correct. probably for you, its going to some other operator.

Give one more try with options 1 and 0.

again no help

Again I tried that number and went for 1 and 0. Waited 5 minutes. A lady operator came and again same answer that she does not give the status. I again mentioned I do not want the estimated time of approval . I just wanna to know when is the DC received data. But no success.
