I'll be filing mine at the end of the month.
One quick question: do the affidavits from friends still need to be notarized?

Good to find that atleast one person is filing at the same time as me.
I got the affidavits notarized. I don't know if it is necessary but i did it. I would recommend doing it to add more validity to the document.

i'll be sending in my stuff in about 2 weeks. i have to organize a lot of stuff. i'm also planning to move by august 1st. will this cause a lot of trouble? do you know what i should do before hand? (besides file AR11)

Filing I-751 this month

Hello, My conditional green card expires on oct 12, so the 3 months window to file the i-751 begins this july 12. My question is, Is it recommended to file early ? Some people say that there are more chances to be called for an interview if you do not file very early in the window? What documents should i send?

thanks, is good to find more people filing this month.

Hi,

I sent my i-751 on 06/30/2008 (one day before july) to the Vermont Service Center, check deposited on July 07, NOA received on July 09.

This is what i would do...Please do not take this as a final answer....do your homework as well:

1. File AR11 online and do not forget to take a print out
2. File I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address by mail and keep the receipt or delivery confirmation (as the ackonwledgement will take a while for USCIS to mail back)
3. Make sure you change your address everywhere (credit cards, banks and all other places)
4. In form I-751 you will have to mention all the places you have lived after receiving your conditional green card...do not forget to attach a separate sheet and mention all of your previous addresses

This is all i can think of as you are changing your address after filing.

I sent mine on the 15th to TSC via express mail. and since then the USPS website says

"Status: Processed
Your item was processed and left our ESSEX JUNCTION, VT 05452 facility on July 17, 2008. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. "

I was kind of confused but when i saw VT i guessed that it might have been forwarded. Surprisingly they forwarded it without even opening it but i guess each kind of form will have its own P.O Box. Anyways when i checked at the post office they told me that its gonna take a few days before it gets there as forwarded mail has a total different timeline even though it is express mail.

Please keep me posted telegraphroad as our timelines are going to be the same. Even if i don't get an update atleast i will have someone to gauge the progress of my application and vice versa.

Welcome Scorpyo and Jatin0139. Thanks guys for posting and its great to have company.

I don't think it really matters as to when you file. If they are not convinced with the documents we might be called for an interview irrespective of when we file.

2. Form I-751
3. List of all resided addresses and dates since becoming a permanent resident in a separate sheet

13. Copy of XXX Auto Insurance document showing a Joint Policy

Cool Jatin. It might take a little bit for me to receive the NOA2 cos my service center is VSC. Will keep you posted.

As someone said "do carry your conditional green card when you go for the Biometrics appointment"
