Our timelines are pretty much the same. Even I have my Biometrics scheduled for the 26th. Its gonna be a long wait @ VSC

My timeline (VSC) is as follows. I'll try to walk-in for the early biometrics since I cannot go on the scheduled date.

Hi Zombie2006

My timeline is:
10/02/2008 : Conditional Card Expires
07/03/2008 : Mailed I751 Express Mail
07/06/2008 : Check was cashed
07/10/2008 : Notice NOA1 dated 07/08
07/28/2008 : Notice NOA2 dated 07/25
08/13/2008 : Biometrics

How long you think before we get those Green Cards?

Unless they speed up the process at VSC, which isn't a remote possibility, I'd say 9 to 12 months.
But it really doesn't matter because:
1- You have a 1-yr extension which permits employment and travel
2- You can apply for citizenship in one year even if I-751 is still pending

Hi Sarrebal

Thank you for your reply. Maybe you can help me with this issue. As you read I filed in July 2008. My marriage is going down hill. I am afraid it is not going to last much longer. What will happened if we get separated or divorced before I receive the card ?

I have just checked my case online. It was last updated yesterday 08/14/2008 day after they took my bios.

Completed biometrics yesterday.
I'm still waiting for the NOA1 so I'm going to make an INFOPASS appointment to request a I-551 stamp.

Sorry guys was busy at work and didn't get a chance to post.

I did my Biometrics on the 26th at 8 AM. Was a breeze. And there was a LUD online dated 26th

Biometrics Done now what????

Biometrics done on 08/26/08 at Hartford, CT. I was wondering if any of you guys know when USCIS will update processing time for August 08

Zombie2008,

I got everything ready to file (sept 2nd/08), I confused now with the new updateded instructions (08/25), should I still send the package to:

USCIS Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden Street
St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

or should I include the P.O. BOX 200 like it's lited at the USCIS Update

USCIS Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden Street
P.O. BOX 200
St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

Because if it's the case I can't send it with UPS or Fedex since they don't deliver to a PO BOX.
Also Should I use the old I-751 (it shows on the top expires 10/31/09) is that the right one? Please Help!!!!

I would definitely mail it to:

P.O. Box 200

Hi could someone please elaborate?

1. I got a letter (and a duplicate one 3 months afterwards) extending my Conditional GC period by 1 year. I assume this starts from the date my PR card expired?

2. When can I apply for citizenship? If I have been married for over 3 years? My wife is a citizen.

Thanks!

1. I guess its starts from the day your PR card expires......I am not totally sure though.

2. Based on three years as a Lawful Permanent Resident married to a U.S. citizen, you may apply for naturalization up to 90 days before you meet the ''continuous residence'' requirement. So you can apply 90 days before your 3rd anniversary of receiving the green card (not marriage).
