New Rule

I read this in the chat session by Sheela Murthy:

Attorney Murthy : As I tell people, if one has no choice at all, like losing a job, one has to switch to any other status which will enable the person to live or work legally in the U.S. There is a chance that the BCIS Headquarters will issue a rule stating that a person with the I-485 pending for over 180 days should obtain the I-485 approval if the I-140 gets approved. If the I-140 is ultimately denied, I believe there is a risk, even if one is with the same sponsoring employer and has allowed the H1B status to expire

little early yet no? I have my calendar marked for early August
before I even go ask the lawyers if they have seen a receipt.

They I think were expecting 4 weeks.

Checks

Guys:

Check for my I-485, EAD and AP was cashed last week. But check for I-140 has not been cashed yet. Is this normal?

Do they treat I-140 as different product line.

FYI: I-140, I-485, EAD and AP all were sent together in the same packet but I-140 had a separate check.

How long for I140/I485/AP/EDI receipt and notice dates at Vermont.

Dear Friends:
After my LC certification, my attorney filed my I140/I485/AP/EDI concurrently at Vermont on July 31st 2003.

So far there is no receipt and notices dates. Any one have any idea how long that will take ?

MD: I140/I485/AP/EDI -> July 31st 2003.
