Judges Delay Oaths, Washington Post and US Govt Say...

I am attaching the full report of the Ombudsman where this article drew its support from. It's an interesting read!

It was a great read... Sometimes, we unfairly blame USCIS for oath delays, as the report clearly suggests that some federal judges are not flexible or accomodating.

Another interesting thing is the digital photo on the cert of naturalization. They hope to start doing that in 6-8 months timeframe, we shall see. Also, that USCIS pays federal court on average $14 per applicant for oath ceremonies.

I know the nat certz is very nice but so is the passport card. They could make something like that and give it to you after the oath.

Looks like this thread is still valid... delays nationwide for oaths... but does anybody know why ??? :D:D:D

IMO, it's a matter of two government departments (Federal courts and USCIS) squabbling over their powers instead of working together as a team to resolve issues for the sake of the paying customer.
