Jaxen or Other gurus please help..EAD renewal question

My wifes I-485 case has been transferred to local INS, Detroit.
Prior to her I-485 transfer we had applied for EAD-renewal. Recently we learnt that EAD renewal case has also been transferred to local INS.

What are our current options?

I read on this board that you can work based on EAD-renewal receipt notice. Is that true?

Can we get an interim EAD after 90 days, when I-485 is pending at local INS.

Can she work for a duration of period (about 2 weeks) after expiration of old EAD while waiting for completion of 90 days.

EAD

No U need an approved and valid EAD to work while on adjustment status (other than h1/L1).
The nearest district office should give her interim EAD after 90 days from RD of EAd receipt notice.
It is better to get off the payroll then risk status violation by working without a valid EAD fro a few weeks...
