J1 waiver after partial fulfillment of foreign residency

Hi, i'm going to work in the US on a J1 visa. My boyfriend (a USC) and i are planning to get married in the US while i'm there. AFter my J1 program, I have a one-year bond to fulfill back home after which I would like to return to the US to join my husband. The residency requirement is 2 years. How and when should i apply for a visa waiver? Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can apply any time after you join the program or after you finish it and return to home country whichever is convenient to you. Do not mention your marriage plan because this is an immigration intent which may adversely affect the waiver.
