j1 waiver J2 RN

hi. I am under a j1 visa and falls under the 2 year rule. My wife has just recently been licensed as an RN and we plan on adjusting our status. What are your view? Can you give us a referral to a lawyer that would best suit our case? thank you.

Is your wife on a J2 visa, cos if she is you guys may have problems adjusting status unless you obtain a waiver or return home for 2 years

My J1 has to be Updated yearly if i go home ....If not,I will not be allowed back into the USA.........will I be denied a renewal of a non immigrant J 1 visa if my green card petition has been approved?

Thanks

You are talking about an I-130 petition, right? In that case, it is your father who filed the petition. I-130 only establishes a relationship to an alien relative. I am not sure it can be interpreted as immigration intent on your part. If I-130 is all that has been filed, then you did not sign that form. The fact that your father is in the U.S. could already raise red flags, however, so be prepared to show evidence of a strong tie to your home country.
